The poems collected here are drawn from a decade of working in post-conflict countries such as Afghanistan, Kosovo, and Liberia, and the sense of displacement that accompanies the expat life. The Three Hares was inspired by the great Ukrainian poets, past and present, who protest against corruption, oppression, and injustice.
